ProArtsTickets.org is a program of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. Founded in 1998, it helps small and mid-sized arts organizations build audiences through a robust ticketing service and marketing capabilities, including an extensive database designed to easily facilitate direct marketing campaigns. ProArtsTickets sells advanced, reserved or general admission single, subscription and group tickets to arts and cultural events via telephone 412.394.3353 or our new, redesigned website www.proartstickets.org.
The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council was formed by the merger between ProArts and the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Alliance in May of 2005. The mission of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is to make the arts central to the lives of individuals by expanding the reach, influence and effectiveness of the region’s diverse cultural community.
Now in its third year of programming, the Arts Council has made tremendous strides and continues to benefit from the rich history, relationships with the community, and institutional capacity of the two founding organizations. The Arts Council’s professional development, ticketing and marketing, technical assistance, and grant programs [1] provide participants with skills and information that can be put to use immediately to improve their management practices; [2] engage artists, arts administrators and arts supporters in efforts that will improve and advance the sector as a whole; [3] increase organizational capacity to successfully fulfill artistic missions and reach growing and engaged audiences and [4] award financial resources to both organizations and individuals.
