Pat Donohue & Mike Dowling

Calliope

Pat Donohue & Mike Dowling

From swing to jazz to bottlenecek blues and folk, Grammy-winning acoustic guitarist Pat Donohue plays it all with a flourish of artistry and melodic inspiration. Traditonal country legend Chet Atkins called Pat "one of the greatest finger pickers in the world today" and Pat currently serves as the guitarist for the Guys All-Star Shoe Band of Minnesota Public Radio's A Prairie Home Companion.

Mike Dowling digs deep into the musical bag of American roots guitar. From bottlenceck blues to vintage jazz and much more in between, his musicality, depth, and mastery of the instrument translates fluently to flattop, archtop, and resonator guitars alike. Mike was first heard with the late, great, fiddle player Vassar Clements on his Grammy-nominated Nashville Jam.

The Carnegie Lecture Hall is located to the rear of the Carnegie Library in Oakland. Entrance to the Lecture Hall is on Schenley Drive (not on Forbes Ave.). Patrons using walkers, wheelchairs, or who cannot do stairs must enter through the Rear Portal located in the Carnegie Museums parking lot (parking lot entrance at the Corner of Forbes Ave and Craig St.).
