Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre will honor the Synge centenary with Synge Cycle, a festival which will give audiences a rare and unique opportunity to examine Synge's complete body of theatrical work over the course of a single month of theater-going. The festival opens with The Playboy of the Western World and then incorporates performances of the haunting Riders to the Sea, the hilarious Well of the Saints, the rarely seen When the Moon Has Set, the unfinished Deirdre of the Sorrows, the comic Tinker's Wedding and the Ibsen-inspired The Shadow of the Glen.
